A precautious 14-year-old teen, Jason (Matthew Nelson-Mahood), his crude best friend and his best friend’s fearless older sister stumble upon a derelict cabin, which houses a predatory woman (Lauren Holly) and her insatiably hungry “undead” husband and children. After witnessing two unknowing “bros” become a smorgasbord for the flesh-eating family. Between a shotgun-toting psycho determined to keep them quiet, a stop-at-nothing-to-feed-her-family neighbour and party-drunk parents who won’t believe them, it’s a difficult undertaking. The three friends must arm themselves, toughen up, learn to work together and bash in some zombie skulls to save Jason’s father. Goonies meets Evil Dead, “DEAD SHACK” is a dark comedy oozing with gory action.
